Twenty years making complex work simpler
I’ve spent more than twenty years leading UX research and information architecture, including as Head of UX at Momondo, Cheapflights and Made.com. The job was always the same: find where people, data and process stop fitting together, and redesign them until they do.
I started Prospero UX because research teams, not-for-profits and growing businesses face the same problems with none of the resources. Those problems look like spreadsheets passed between dozens of people, approvals lost in inboxes, and reporting that takes a week to assemble.
New technologies opened up opportunities for SMEs to have the same quality of customised systems built as enterprises, but delivered by small or single-person teams. This enabled the research, design and build service to be day-to-day, collaborative and personal, and a fraction of the cost. Agency, consultancy or build-house costs have to support multidisciplinary teams whether they are on projects or not. Large offices and legacy support costs all fold into the price you pay. That model cannot provide the value and quality at a price most SMEs can afford.

How the practice works
One accountable lead, with a workshop behind him
Senior judgement, extended by an AI-assisted workshop.
You won’t be passed to an account manager or a junior team. Will leads your diagnostic, makes every judgement call and reviews everything before it reaches you.
Behind him is an AI-assisted workshop that handles the careful groundwork: research synthesis, documentation, drafting and quality checks. It extends what one senior person can do. For example, interview notes become a first-draft process map within hours, and Will checks it with your team.
We take on a small number of projects at a time. Every build is documented and ready for handover, and you own your Softr account, your data and your documentation. Your systems never depend on us.
Will also tests his thinking with a small circle of senior UX, product and business advisors.

Will reviews all AI-assisted work before it reaches you, and makes every judgement call himself.
Your data is used only for your project. We may keep general lessons learned, but never your data or anything that identifies you.
Personal information in the systems we build for you is never put into outside AI tools, and sensitive personal details are kept out of AI altogether.
Your system is handed over to a Softr account in your name, and you own your data and the documentation we write for you.
